Create And Download Your Middle School Yearbook

Yearbook Alive, http://www.yearbookalive.com, today announced its Middle School Yearbook Video Yearbook Contest which provides elementary, middle and high school students across the country an opportunity to win Free Yearbooks for the entire school, plus other great prizes.

A new year and a new partner for YearBook Alive! Furr Senior High School in Houston is capturing their students’ memories is by preserving them with a digital supplement to their annual printed yearbook. With a digital yearbook, schools are able to add thousands of photos and hours of videos and music to their yearbooks, memories that would otherwise be lost.

“Considering the fact that many school budgets have been cut this year due to the economy, we wanted to do something to help students still get their school yearbook at a low-cost , or possibly no-cost,” explains John Platts, President of Yearbook Alive. “We hope this video contest will provide schools looking for ways to save money a great opportunity to raise money for other school programs.”

As part of the Video Yearbook Contest, elementary school yearbook, middle and high school yearbooks online are encouraged to submit a short video explaining why their school deserves to win Free Yearbooks. The yearbook contest will run from August 23rd, 2010 to October 1st, 2010. One (1) Grand Prize, (1) First Place and (1) Second Place winner will be selected based on the school’s ability to present their story/content in a visually and verbally creative fashion and demonstrate their excellence in photo or video journalism.

YearBook Alive isn’t only being used by schools. Although traditionally associated with high schools and universities, many different organizations, clubs and community groups are now looking to digital yearbooks as a way to document their cherished memories. Not excluded from this are community churches, and one such church is the Kyles Temple African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church in Sacramento, California who use YearBook Alive to create their digital yearbooks.

What’s more, for a limited time, YearbookAlive is offering a Fall Yearbook Special, which give schools the opportunity to add a Hard Cover to any school yearbook order of 100 books or more.
